Part 1: Threadboard Circuits in Series and Parallel

Series

1. Set up the batteries
2. Connect the threads to the battery
3. Grab two LEDs and connect them in a single line.(I realize I didn’t take a picture of Leds in series)
4. Make sure that the LEDs are connects power to ground on both. For example, the left is ground and right is power on an LED. Thus the second LED must be connect their ground to power on the first LED.

Parallel

1. Set up batteries on top of each other
2. Connect the magnetic thread in two lines
3. Put the LEDs in parallel, connected to the lines

Series

1. Set up ground and power and connect.
2. Connect a button to power.
3. Add a resistor to button.
4. Connect the LED to the resistor and ground.

5. Button should light up once button is clicked.

Parallel

1. Set up the power and ground to the switch
2. Add a resistor to the switch
3. Connect the LEDs to the resistor
4. Connect power and ground to the LED

5. LED should light up when switch is on.
